Titan Couriers (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the Titan Couriers mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the App.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information when you use the App:
- Account Information: Your full name, email address, phone number, and account password (stored as a secure hash via AWS Cognito).
- Delivery Information: Pickup and drop-off addresses, package details (weight, dimensions, description), and selected service level.
- Location Data: Real-time device location while the App is in use (foreground only), used to display your position on the map and calculate delivery routes. We do not collect location data in the background.
- Payment Information: Payment transactions are processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers. We store payment status records (amount, method type, transaction reference) in our secure database.
- Proof of Delivery: Photos and digital signatures captured at delivery points. These are stored securely and linked to the relevant order.
- Usage Data: App activity logs (e.g., screens viewed, actions taken) used to diagnose errors and improve the App.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To process and fulfil delivery orders
- To calculate delivery routes and provide real-time tracking
- To process payments and send booking confirmations
- To send order status notifications (push/SMS/email)
- To respond to customer support requests
- To detect fraud and enforce our Terms of Service
- To improve the App through aggregated, anonymised analytics
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:
- Couriers: Your pickup/drop-off address and contact name are shared with the courier assigned to your delivery.
- AWS (Amazon Web Services): Our infrastructure provider. All data is stored in AWS data centres with encryption at rest and in transit.
- Google Maps Platform: Used for map display, address geocoding, and route calculation. Subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Payment Processor: Payment data is handled by our payment provider in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Delivery records are retained for up to 3 years for legal and financial compliance purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 6).
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256 via AWS server-side encryption)
- Authentication is handled by AWS Cognito with secure token-based sessions
- Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only
- Point-in-time recovery is enabled on all databases
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data
- Portability: Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format
- Withdraw Consent: Opt out of non-essential communications at any time

7. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.
8. Location Permissions
The App requests access to your device location while in use to display your position on the map and assist with address entry. You can revoke location permission at any time via your device settings. Revoking location access may limit certain features (e.g., map-based address selection and live courier tracking).
9. Camera and Storage Permissions
Couriers using the App may be prompted to grant camera access to capture proof of delivery photos. These photos are uploaded securely to our servers and linked to the relevant order. The App does not access your camera roll or general storage beyond what is required for proof of delivery capture.
10. Third-Party Links
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by in-app notification. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
